How we started... Corporate Karma was developed in 2005 as a new approach to managing business and careers. Hersha Chellaram, created the concept based on her background organisational behaviour and corporate social responsibility, and her in-depth studies in Eastern philosophies and the science of Yoga. The programme is based upon the latest research and corporate trends, combined with the timeless wisdom of Yoga philosophy.
Hersha Chellaram Hersha graduated from Pepperdine University in California with a degree in Public Relations with a concentration in Organisational Behaviour. She went on to work at Burson-Marsteller (B-M) in New York, as part of the Organisational Change & Communication and Ethics & Social Responsibility teams. During Hersha's tenure at B-M, she saw that many professionals and corporate executives longed
for a sense of purpose and wanted to make a significant difference in
the world. Amidst the many crises and corporate scandals taking place,
she realised that it was time for business practice to evolve.
Since childhood, Hersha has studied yoga under the direct guidance of Swami Satchidananda. She
went on a year-long sabatical to India in 2003, studying the science of yoga
and the esoterica of Hinduism, Buddhism and other eastern philosophies and has been teaching yoga ever since.
Hersha launched Corporate Karma in Spain in 2005 and with the goal to help organisations enhance the quality of decision-making, develop a culture of trust and integrity, and manage stress. She believes that with the right intentions, the right
attitudes and the right actions, companies and individuals alike can
achieve their goals of business, balance, purpose and success.
